Miley Cyrus Gives Touching Message To Dying Fan, Addresses Sex Tape Rumors To Other : Trending News : Fashion Times

Miley Cyrus: ‘Something About Mary’ Hair And No Top In Selfie Causes Controversy (Again)

Camarillo, who was diagnosed of having cystic fibrosis – a genetic disease affecting the lungs and digestive system – a few years back, passed away this Friday, but she surely had a happy and heart-warming time with her idol hours before her final breaths. The 12-year-old reportedly got a heartfelt and touching video message from Miley Cyrus an hour before her demise. “Hey Caley, it’s Miley. I’ve been talking to your mama the past few days,” said Miley in the video. “I know we met a few years ago, but I just wanted to let you know that I’m still praying for you, I’m still thinking about you. I’m sending you some love, and I just wanted to let you know that you are on my mind and in my heart.” Miley may have a huge following of her own on social networking sites due to her celebrity status, but Caley also has a significant number of people following her on Twitter and Instagram, for her effort to share her everyday experiences living with cystic fibrosis and her advocacy of raising awareness about the said disease. A Go Fund Me page was created following Caley’s death to help her family in paying for the funeral services and other expenses. “She inspired thousands with her journey and mission of spreading awareness of cystic fibrosis,” wrote Caley’s mother on the said page.

Therefore, people talking about the hairstyle and how it is super inappropriate might have Miley all wrong. The rest of the picture, however, is still up for debate. If Miley Cyrus was going for Theres Something About Mary, she achieved the look and then some but why wouldnt she just come out and say that? Miley isnt known for keeping her mouth shut, so chances are, she didnt even realize that her hair looked like this: Cameron Diaz in Theres Something About Mary Miley has been posting plenty of questionable selfies on Instagram lately. Many believe that her new-found self is the reason that her fiance, Liam Hemsworth, left her. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Cyrus seems to be writing songs about her ex , many of which accuse him of walking out of her life. The songs Wrecking Ball and Last Goodbye are both rumored to be ex-anthems.

News has confirmed that a judge has granted the pop singer a three-year restraining order against an Arizona man who is believed to be a threat to her safety. The 21-year-old filed for a temporary restraining order against 24-year-old Devon Meek in late May because he “delusionally believes that Cyrus communicates with him via her songs.” According to court documents obtained by E! News, Meek “hears screaming voices in his head and thinks Miley is talking to him through the radio.” LOOK: Meanwhile, Miley has continued to post racy selfies The request goes on to state that “Meek, who we are informed and believe suffers from delusions about Ms. Cyrus, believes that the singer/actress/celebrity Ms. Cyrus communicates with him through her songs and is telling him to come to see her so that they may be together.” Meek was arrested by the LAPD on May 16 and placed on a psychiatric hold, where he remains, but has stated that he “will not stop seeking out Ms. Cyrus” even after his release. According to Detective Rosibel Smith wrote in a sworn statement that Meek told officers during an interview they should shoot him in the head if he couldn’t meet the singer.

Homeless people or tourists who aren’t even here to see the glass work?” A guy named Marv, who I’m told used to do a lot of glass work, now works on his ’47 Chevy woody. I asked him about working on his woody. “When I got it, the brakes went out; the engine overheated. I put a lot of money into it. It’s worth $100,000 now.” I said, “You probably have a Club on the steering wheel.” He said, “I’m in the San Diego Woodies, which is the club I’ll probably be president of next year.” I explained what I meant by “Club,” and he told me car thieves don’t take cars that are so easily recognizable. He said, “We have a show in September in Encinitas with over 250 Woodies.

The forgotten Pete Townshend solo hit: ‘A Friend Is A Friend’ | Tampa Bay Times

At the top of the list of kids movies I’ve seen over the years is The Iron Giant and today’s Lost and Found is about Pete Townshend and the80s origins of The Iron Giant. By 1989, Pete Townshend had an established solo career away from The Who and decided his next project would be a concept music album adapting the 1968 Ted Hughes book The Iron Man in which Townshend played the part of the boy Hogarth. For the album The Iron Man: The Musical, Townshend created a video just for the song A Friend Is A Friend that shows his vision of what the Iron Man looked like. The album was adapted for the stage and the musical fared well in the UK in the early 90s. By the late 90s, Warner Brothers saw a movie in the musical and although the details and title of the movie were changed, in 1999, the animated The Iron Giant was released. The feature was the first movie directed by Brad Bird, who would go on to win Oscars for his classics The Incredibles and Ratatouille. For his efforts, Townshend was given an executive producers credit for The Iron Giant. For a band who once declared “I hope I die before I get old”, The Who will celebrate their 50th year anniversary this year with a short tour of Ireland and the UK. http://thewho.com/

Roger Daltrey had forgotten hits in the ’80s too | Tampa Bay Times

While Daltrey amassed a nice catalog of solo material in the 80s, he had only one U.S. Top 40 hit with Without Your Love in 1980. His best selling album of the 80s was the 1985 album Under A Raging Moon, which was his tribute to the late Keith Moon. If you think the lead single Let Me Down Easy has a pop-friendly tone to it, it’s because the song comes from the Bryan Adams-Jim Vallance songbook and Adams even shows up in the video. The tune reached No. 86 on the singles chart at the beginning of 1986. Even as a 70-year old man, Daltrey still looks great and as mentioned yesterday, he and Townshend are teaming up to celebrate The Who’s 50th anniversary with a short UK tour this winter. They had a tip jar and I was tempted to put $5 in and say, “That’s only if I don’t hear ‘Free Bird,'” which is a joke you hear in bars with cover bands. But, considering they’re playing acoustic standards without vocals, maybe “Girl from Ipanema” would work better. There were lots of tables set up with fruits, cheeses, wines, and desserts. Before I scarfed down four brownies, I thought I should at least check out the art. I was impressed by an artist named Susan Hirsch, who had large contemporary pieces. There was a guitar made of glass that I was surprised only took third place.

It should be noted that Romney has ties to the Granite State and was governor of neighboring Massachusetts, but in looking at the other GOP possibilities, why wouldnt voters think that Mitt might be worth another try? Romney insists hes not running, but so have many people who ended up doing just that. Next in line behind Romney in one New Hampshire poll was New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. The likelihood of his emerging from the primary process to be the GOP nominee is probably akin to the chances of someone selling ice cubes to Eskimos. Christie, you see, is considered a moderate and has been known to engage with Democrats, which makes him a flaming liberal to the true believers who make up the core of the Republicans primary electorate. In polls that dont include Romney, Christie and the other leading candidates seem to be running in a tight pack, with no one gaining much more than 10 percent of the support. There might be reasons for that.

When I talk to fighters in their mid 30s to early 40s, I almost always hear tales of physical woe, from Forrest Griffin saying he can barely jump to Rich Clementi saying he can barely bend over . But then, nobody becomes a fighter because theyre giving all that much thought to tomorrow. Theyre also probably not thinking about 401(k)s or dental plans or any of that other stuff. Theyre after glory. Theyre chasing a certain intensity of feeling, and it seems to me like thats the part they dread doing without.

Fowlkes: I wouldnt blame anyone for having regrets in life. Like you, I think thats a normal part of being human, and I doubt people who claim not to have any. Youre not the first ex-fighter Ive polled on this topic who mentioned the feeling of being locked out of other, more common paths by virtue of choosing this one. It reminds me of a term coined in this excellent and hilarious book of essays and cartoons by Tim Kreider , who refers to this period of evaluation and comparison as The Referendum. Its when you start looking at how your life stacks up against the lives of your friends and acquaintances, and also looking at which potential lives are unavailable to you now that youve made enough choices in life to have permanently closed some other doors. People seem to have different ways of handling The Referendum. Some get overly judgy of other peoples choices, as if that will justify their own.
